Empyrean Weapon Rules

    Since the LS will be taking an official stance towards assisting members with building their own Empyrean Weapons, we will be laying down some ground rules as well as expected conduct from members who participate in this group specifically. There is no obligation to it beyond putting in what you want to get out of it. That being said, no one in their probationary period will be allowed to sign up and ask for assistance from the LS with their Empyrean Weapon until they've graduated to full member status.

Requirements

  1. You need to be Lv.96+ in order to participate.
  2. You need to have Abyssea access.

Conduct & Participation

  1. This event requires you to sign up on the forums before any assistance is given.
    • If you wish to participate in this event, you are required to first fill out the form on the appropriate thread.
    • Drop-ins and members on probation will be allowed to assist during these runs, but not gain anything.
  2. Jobs will be selected by the leadership before event start.
    • In order to make sure we can work together to get the run done efficiently and effectively, jobs will be determined by the leadership before event start.
    • Failure to accept the choices made will result in your denial of attendance.
  3. You're required to follow the leader's instructions.
    • Please listen to what you're told, or you will be removed from the event!
  4. Your weapon(s) of choice must be on their 7th (Voidwalker) Magian Trial before any assistance is given.
    • All the Trials from 1-6 are low-level NMs that are either Lottery or Timed spawns and require no assistance from the actual LS itself. There will be no begging or nagging for assistance in camping these NMs allowed in the LS.
    • It is, however, encouraged that participating members on the same NMs work together to help the trials go by faster.
  5. Once you've reached the 7th Trial and officially asked/received help from the LS, you will not be allowed to change your weapon(s) without incurring a 2 month waiting period before we will assist you again.
    • Members who ask for help are expected to be dedicated to the decision they make. If you can't decide on what weapon you want, don't ask for help until you're sure.
    • If you post a decision and decide to change it before you reach the 7th Trial, then you will not be penalized for the change.
    • Once a weapon has completed the 11th (Lv.85) Trial, you will be allowed to modify your weapon choices without incurring a penalty.
  6. You are expected to be present for all popset farming to be used in your favour.
    • Don't expect anyone to go out of their way and build you pop sets for either Voidwalker or Abyssea NMs when you're not around. You must be actively participating in all material gathering.
    • If something happens and you can no longer attend during the event preparation, all efforts to finish obtaining the required pops will be halted and the focus shifted until you're available again.

Items & Lotting

  1. You will be allowed to pick up to three (3) Empyrean Weapons you want to work on at a time in the following order of importance: Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary Weapon.
    • You will not be allowed to change the order of these weapons once decided until one of them is at least Lv.85, so make sure you're certain before you post.
    • Your Primary weapon will be yours (and the LS') main focus, while your Secondary and Tertiary Weapons will be casual ones that you shouldn't expect to be completed in a timely fashion. They will be included in thought for VNM kills that would matter and upgrade items that drop when no one present as a need for with their Primary (or Secondary, if it'll go to your Tertiary).
  2. Item distribution will be judged at event start by the leadership under the following conditions. If a conflict or uncertainty concerning proper distribution arises, the leadership will make a ruling decision as to who the items go to based on the priorities listed below.
    1. Weapon Tier: Primary Weapons will always be given a higher priority over Secondary and Tertiary. Secondary will be chosen over Tertiary.
    2. Current Trial: If two people require the same item(s) for their upgrade, the one who is closest to the trial will get priority. If both are on the same trial, the one closest to completion will be given priority.
    3. Seniority: Those who asked for help first will be given a slightly higher priority than those who've joined in later, unless either the junior member is currently on the trial in question, or the senior member has completed a greater number of Empyrean Weapons than the junior with the LS.
    4. Empyreans Completed: Those who've already completed one Empyrean Weapon with the LS will be given less priority than someone on their first weapon. Those who've completed two will be less of a priority than someone who's only done one, and so on.
  3. If no one present requires the Upgrade Items for their Primary, Secondary or Tertiary weapons, the items will become freelot for full members.
    • Members on probation will not be allowed to lot on the upgrade items unless absolutely no other full member desires them regardless of personal Empyrean Weapon completion.
    • You do not need to have a job at a certain level or a corresponding weapon started in order to lot on upgrade items declared freelot. However, it is requested out of decency towards your fellow players you only lot them if you plan on using them.
  4. Members who take time out to help others during these events, either by holding Pop Sets for NMs or donating time and Items will be given higher priority for event planning.
    • You get out what you put in. If you're active and helping out all of the time, we'll be more eager to help you complete your trials. If you post and then don't show up to help anybody else, we're not going to really jump at getting yours done in a timely fashion.
    • If you complain about other members receiving items over you or about us not helping you out often enough, we will place your needs further behind those who willingly help without complaint.
  5. Only people who donate Heavy Metal Plates, Riftcinder, Mulcibar's Scoria, and Umbral Marrow to the LS Bank for the entire group and plan on taking their Empyrean Weapon already at the appropriate level beyond that trial will be given the Items to upgrade.
    • The LS Bank will hold onto all accumulated advanced upgrade items that've been donated by LS members until it's reached the appropriate level to upgrade the weapon to Lv.95 and Lv.99.
    • For practical reasons, we will not be assisting in the upgrade from Lv.99 to Lv.99(Afterglow), or allow a person to upgrade more than one (1) weapon to Lv.95 or higher using the group's resources (yet).
    • The items will be given first and foremost to the participating individual who's donated the most of those items.
    • They will be given to the individual in front of the Magian Moogle to complete the Trial on the spot. Once it's complete, proof of the upgrade will be required and then much celebrating will be had.
    • If you are dishonest with any of the advanced items given to you to upgrade your weapon, you will be removed from the LS immediately without question.

    Please note that failure to read and adhere to the rules of this event will make you ineligible to participate under any circumstance until further notice. The leadership reserves the right to refuse an application for assistance based on the player's assessment and current number of accepted applicants. If your application is denied under any circumstance, you are allowed to reapply for assistance two weeks after your refusal. you have any questions about the rules regarding this particular event, please contact a member of the leadership.
